We are looking to hire an experienced Legal Assistant or Executive Assistant to join our existing top-notch team. If you're a passionate self-starter, Parachute Law is an excellent place to get ahead.

Be the support for the owning solicitor of Parachute Law, Claudine Boast. You will work closely with Claudine ensuring all non-legal activities are completed for her so that she can focus on dealing with the law and running the firm.

You will liaise with clients to get them ready for a Skype/Zoom meeting. We work hard to maintain an Excellent rating on Trustpilot so any new starter needs to deliver on client's expectations.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collect, examine, and organise documents for review and case preparation
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts
  • Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, legal advice, procedures and marketing materials
  • Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues
  • Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
  • Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining executive's calendar and managing projects both business and personal.

Qualifications for Legal Assistant
  • Degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or Professional Business Diploma preferred
  • 1-5 years of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or in a corporate legal department), legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, or executive PA
  • Fast notetaking, minute taking and meetings documentation, travel itineraries, video and tele-conferencing, Business English, customer service and telephone technique, audio transcription
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanour
  • Advanced level in all Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines
  • Document creation to a very high standard using Microsoft Word, ideally Problem solving with Microsoft Excel including IF statements, Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc
  • Creation of professional presentation decks using Microsoft PowerPoint including slide masters, title masters, hyperlinks, etc. Canva experience helpful
  • Database marketing using databases including queries, reports, forms, etc
  • Diary, email, and contact management using Microsoft Outlook
  • Positive, confident and creative person.
